Constitutional Amendment Ballot

As you know, we are in negotiation with Southwark Council to agree a new lease for the site. As part of this process, we are required to have two Trustees. At the AGM in September 2016, Jon Johnson and Andy Bradshaw were unanimously approved for these posts.

The National Allotment Society (NSALG) has advised us that as a pre-cursor to signing this new lease, we need to have your approval for a minor amendment to the constitution to formally add the elected Trustees.

As this amendment is unlikely to be controversial, we will be taking an online poll, so that an Extraordinary General Meeting is not required.

Proposed Amendment

  1. For the purposes of entering into legal agreements on behalf of the Society, the Society shall appoint a minimum of two trustees. Trustees shall be invited to every Committee Meeting, whether they are members of the Committee or not, to enable them to fulfil their obligations as a Trustee.

Could you please fill out the poll below by Saturday 14th January. If possible with your plot number, if not, we can work it out from your email / name.

The poll is now closed
